We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a student at a school in Bournemouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support the student in both academic and social settings
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress
- Encourage independence and foster a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly on a 1:1 basis
- Strong understanding of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent) would be advantageous
